Brenda Nguyen

Hi there! For those of you who don't know me yet, my name is Brenda Nguyen! I grew up being surrounded by music all the time. I started learning piano at the age of 4 (continued through till 2nd year at the music department of the University of British Columbia). I learned all different types of styles including classical, pop, jazz, improvisation, accompanying, song-writing/composition and much more! I am also a self-taught drummer and I started playing for church worship teams as the drummer. My love for music continued to grow as I grew up and by the age of 16 I knew I wanted to pursue music as a career. I studied at the University of British Columbia and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Percussion. I also picked up guitar along the way and I enjoy playing and singing with my guitar, playing classical guitar, and so much more! I have a passion for music, I love kids and I love teaching! This is the perfect career for me, because I am able to do what I love every day!
Taylor Harrison
Specialty: Guitar, Piano, Voice and Bass

Taylor is an experienced musician and performer. She is a versatile and personable teacher who tailors her lesson plans to the students personal goals and needs after seeing what their strengths and weaknesses are in the lesson. She is currently pursuing her diploma in jazz guitar performance at VCC. Although she is pursuing that diploma, she has experience in a broad range of styles, including rock, folk, jazz, pop, soul, funk, classical, and many others. Though she is focusing on guitar at VCC, she has been playing piano at a young age and later on pursued voice as well.

Eric Lu
Specialty: Guitar and Music Production
​
Eric is a skillful guitarist. He is also an excellent sound engineer. He got his guitar techniques from Dave Martone. He was playing with jazz band and rock band for several years. He fits in every genre and extremely good at jazz, rock, punk, funk, pop and metal.
Eric graduated from his diploma of music production at Berklee, with Rachel Alina, Matthhew Ellard, and Marc-Dieter Einstmann. He became familiar with the music technologies and the whole industry of it. He produced background music and sound effects for a few 2D games.
As an instructor, Eric plans a path of success for every single student depend on their interest and growth.
